Spin Wheel

Type a list of names, numbers or options, then spin a colourful wheel that lands on one at random. Full-screen mode for a room or projector, and every entry gets exactly the same odds.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I put things on the wheel?
Type or paste them into the Entries box, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type, so a pasted list of names, numbers or lunch options is on the wheel immediately. There is room for 300 entries, and your list is saved in this browser for next time.
Is the spin actually random?
Yes, and every entry has exactly the same chance. The winner is drawn first with a uniform random pick and the animation is then aimed at it. Doing it the other way round — spinning at a random speed and reading off wherever it stops — quietly biases the result towards whatever the slow-down curve favours, so this tool avoids that.
Can I make one option more likely than another?
List it more than once. Two lines with the same name means two slices and double the odds, three means triple, and so on.
How does full-screen mode work?
The full-screen button hands the wheel the whole display and hides the entry list, which is what you want when a room or a projector is watching. The Spin button and the winner stay on screen, and Escape brings you back. If your browser blocks true full screen, the wheel falls back to filling the browser window instead.
Can I draw several winners without repeats?
Tick "Remove the winner" and each result comes off the list as soon as it lands, so the next spin draws from whoever is left. The Recent spins panel keeps the last dozen results in order.
