Open Rank
Add items to a list, vote them up or down, share the page URL. The whole ranked list lives in the URL — anyone who opens the link sees the same items and scores, and can keep voting. No signup, no backend.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the data shared?
The list (title, items, and current scores) is encoded into the URL itself. When you copy the page URL and send it to someone, they see the same list when they open it. No server, no signup.
Can the same person vote more than once?
Each device gets one vote per item. The arrow button stays lit so you can see what you voted on, and you can change your mind by clicking the same arrow again (or the opposite one to flip).
What if two people vote on different copies of the URL?
Both URLs end up valid but divergent — there is no central server merging them. Whichever URL is shared next becomes the “current” one for the next person. This works well for short-lived team votes; for long campaigns, use a dedicated polling service.
How big can the list get?
Up to 100 items. URLs stay under about 3 KB at that size, well within browser limits. A warning appears at 80 items.
