Mingle Bingo (Mingo)
Build a 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5 bingo card of icebreaker prompts, then share it with a QR code or link. Everyone taps a square when they meet someone who matches it — first to a line shouts Mingo.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Mingle Bingo work?
Build a card where every square is a prompt like “Has run a half marathon in the last year.” Share the card with your group, then everyone walks around and talks to people. When you meet someone the square describes, tap it to check it off. Complete a full row, column, or diagonal and you have a Mingo.
How do I share the card with my group?
Click Share to get a link and a QR code. The whole card is encoded in the link itself, so nobody needs an account and there is no server — people scan the code or open the link and the card loads instantly on their phone.
What grid size should I pick?
Match it to your group. A 3x3 card works for about 8 to 15 people and finishes fast, 4x4 suits 15 to 30, and 5x5 is best for 30 or more or for a longer event. The 3x3 and 5x5 cards can use a free centre square; 4x4 has no centre so that option is turned off.
Can I write my own prompts?
Yes. Type anything you like into any square, or click Browse on a square to pick from a library of prompts grouped by category — active, maker, creative, travel, food, home, nerdy, quirky, and work. Fill Empty Squares populates whatever is still blank, and squares you typed yourself are never overwritten.
Does everyone see the same checked squares?
No, and that is intentional — each player checks off their own card on their own phone. Your progress is saved in your browser, so you can lock your screen mid‑event and pick up where you left off.
