The Maker Score measures the percentage of your day spent in deep work blocks of 2+ consecutive hours. Research shows that uninterrupted deep work blocks are essential for complex creative and technical tasks. A higher Maker Score means more focused, productive time.

The export creates a standard .ics calendar file that can be imported into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and most other calendar apps. Consecutive blocks of the same type are merged into single events.

Three templates are included: Maker Schedule (6 hours deep work in two long blocks), Manager Schedule (mix of meetings, shallow work, and shorter deep work periods), and Blank Day (start from scratch).

Deep work requires sustained focus and produces high-value output — coding, writing, design, strategy. Shallow work includes email, admin tasks, and quick responses. Both are necessary, but protecting deep work time is critical for productivity.
